Phil Bolton

Phil Bolton is the founder and president of the Agio Press, which has been reporting on international business affecting Georgia since 1991. His news serviceís main innovation is to report on how the global and local economies interconnect in business, culture, economic development and education.

Since he started the company, he has served on the boards of more than a dozen international organizations in Atlanta. He was president of the Korea-Southeast U.S. Chamber of Commerce from 2001-2003.

As publisher of the GlobalFax and GlobalAtlanta news services, he has received many awards. Gov. Sonny Perdue recognized Phil in 2006 as the winner of the Governorís International Award in the individual category for his contributions to international business and educational activities. Last year, the Atlanta City Council issued a proclamation recognizing his years of service and his participation in the launch of the annual GlobalConnect event.

He began his journalism career in the early 1970s in Macon. He edited a financial magazine for Communications Channels Inc. when he first moved to Atlanta in 1980 with his wife, Vicki. Later he was the editorial director for Lafferty Publications, an Irish company with a Norcross office that published The Southern Banker magazine and other publications. As an employee of Lafferty, he reported from Paris, France, on financial issues from 1989 through 1990.

Phil was a Peace Corps volunteer in Kenya, East Africa, in the late 1960s and received his formal education at Williams College in Massachusetts and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington and Bologna, Italy.

Benn R. Konsynski arrived at Goizueta Business School following six years on the faculty at the Harvard Business School where he taught in the MBA program and several executive programs. Prior to arriving at HBS, he was a professor at the University of Arizona where he was a co-founder of the university's multi-million dollar group decision support laboratory. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University.

He has published in such diverse journals as Communications of the ACM, Harvard Business Review, IEEE Transactions on Communications, MIS Quarterly, Journal of MIS, Data Communications, Decision Sciences, Decision Support Systems, Information Systems, and IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering.

I am a graduate of Lafayette College, Easton, PA with a bachelor of arts in Economics and Business. I earned a Master of Business Administration from Emory / Goizueta Business School in Atlanta, GA. I have been with The Coca-Cola Company for thirty years, including assignments in Foodservice Marketing, Customer Management, International Customer Management, Project Management and Customer Operations. I am currently Director, Global Customer Operations for one of Coca-Colaís global customers, within Coca-Cola Refreshments. In recent years, I have served as a trustee and Vice President on the Executive Board of Congregation Etz Chaim and a volunteer to various community service and school based organizations.
